This computer improves on the previous somewhat incrementally - upgrading the clock speed on the ram, a higher quality motherboard and a faster processor. The main reason for this is diminishing returns in computer technology - the bleeding edge might only be 10% faster than just under it but cost 100% more. I feel that $2,000 is really the last reasonable price point to build a computer for.
