A complete joke, would be outperformed by a box half the price. The mobo is a waste, a $100 would be more than enough for this. Buying a graphics card that isn’t either 8xxx, 9xxx or an ATI 3xxx is just a waste, the new cards are much better, and a much better value. Dual 9600 gt would outperform this setup, for $200 less and with dx10 support. And intels Core 2 are much better than anything AMD has to offer (it pains me to say this, I am a lifelong AMD/ATI fan). And half the stuff listed here has the wrong price. This does have one thing right though, that case is amazing.
Excepting the small fact that it was built a year ago, when the prices listed were correct. And the fact that it was never claimed to be “amazing”. Only “decent”.
Robobox, I really appreciate your commentary, perhaps you could submit a couple builds yourself?
If this were built a year ago (but then, why submit it now?) that would explain a lot. Really, this looks like a high end gaming rig from about two years ago, and back then the only problem I would have had with it was the price.
It only got submitted now because I only discovered this site a few days ago.
